This photo was taken in the trails behind my house. I climbed up a tree to take the photo, so I could get a better angle on the landscape. I also decided to set the focus to the branch right in front of me and then blur the background. This made the photo have a darker and more grayish image.

This photo was simply taken in my backyard. I liked the bright green of the grass, and how the tree line provided an almost layered aspect to the photo. I think this photo provided a bright yet humble feel and I liked that because it was realistic.

I took this photo in the same tree I climbed for the first photo. This time I decided to focus on the landscapes instead of the branches directly in front of me. For this photo I brightened the sky, but at the same sky I still left it dark to try and preserve the melancholy mood of the landscape.

This photograph was taken in a corn field across the street from my house. I enhanced the colors in the sky to give some color to the monotone field. I really like the depression era feel of the photo, just because of the solemness it displays. Another aspect of the photo I really liked was how the landscape seems endless, this gives a never-ending feel to the photo that sticks with you.

This photo was of a friends backyard. I really was drawn to the large shadow of the main tree in the picture. The shadow leads you to the tree, which in turn leads you to the branches, which point to the sky. I enhanced the colors of the sky but left the grass the same, so to keep the colors bright but not overpowering at the same time.
